Where it comes from
It’s a fair question to ask any food company. Here’s where the food comes from and how your order is made, in the order it happens.
All of it, and it’s all-natural. Those farms sit in roughly the same countryside our delivery routes run through.
Here’s what one customer wrote.
The restaurant-style frozen items on your order, like the chicken strips, stuffed chicken, lasagne, ravioli and cheesecake, come through Gordon Food Service, which is the foodservice supplier a great many restaurants buy from. It’s the same catalogue, bought the same way.
Nothing gets bought for your order until you’ve agreed to it. You build it with a Food Planner, item by item, against how your household actually eats and roughly what you’re already spending on groceries.
Then it’s written down in full before anything happens. Every item, every quantity, your total, your payment and how long the plan runs. Pantry items also show a price for each one, all included in that total. If you want to see what that looks like, we publish five real orders item by item.
You say how thick you like a steak, what size roast fits your oven and your table, how much ground beef you’ll get through in one go, and whether the chicken comes whole, halved or in portions.
Those instructions are written on the order, and it’s cut the way your family wants. None of it costs extra.
7-774 Rye Street in Peterborough is our warehouse. Your food comes in, goes into the freezers, and stays frozen until your order is picked and packed for delivery day.
It’s wrapped for a freezer, and it has to still be right in month eleven. That’s what the 12-month guarantee commits us to.
Our own driver loads it at Rye Street, brings it to you, carries it in and puts it where you want it, basement freezer included.
Somebody needs to be home to check it against the delivery slip and sign, so anything wrong gets caught while the driver is still there. You tell us the timing you’d prefer, and the office books the date against the route and the stock and texts you to confirm. We don’t name a day at the table.
We won’t swap an item for something else without telling you. If we can’t get something, you hear about it, because a substitution you didn’t agree to isn’t the order you signed.
We won’t change your price after you sign. Your unit prices are locked for 36 months from the day you sign, and it’s printed on the order.

No. Rye Street is our warehouse, where orders are packed and delivered from. Your food arrives already cut and wrapped to the instructions written on your order, and it's stored frozen with us until delivery day.
You give it when the order is planned and it goes on the order in writing rather than being remembered by somebody. Steak thickness, roast size, ground beef pack size, how the chicken is portioned. Everything is cut and wrapped to match, and it costs nothing extra.
You hear about it. We don't quietly substitute a different item, because a substitution you didn't agree to isn't the order you signed.
Our own delivery team. They load at Rye Street, carry it in and put it where you want it. Somebody needs to be home to check it against the delivery slip and sign for it.
