Shopease Foods Inc. ("Shopease", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we handle it, in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect

• Contact details. Name, phone, email, address and postal code, when you fill out our survey, book a consult, or place an order.
• Household and food preferences. What you tell us in the survey or a consult (household size, grocery budget, items you like) so we can build your plan.
• Order and payment details. The contents of your orders, delivery details, and payment arrangements. Payment card and banking details are handled through our payment and financing partners. We do not store full card numbers on our website.

How we use it

• To prepare your quote, plan your order, schedule deliveries and provide customer service.
• To send you messages about your inquiry and order (with your consent where required).
• To send marketing offers only if you opted in. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP to any text or using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Who we share it with

• Financing partners. Only when you apply for financing, and only the information needed for your application.
• Delivery partners. Name, address and phone, only as needed to deliver your order.
• Service providers. Systems we use to run our business (scheduling, messaging, e-signature), bound to use your information only on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

Where your information is stored

Some of the service providers we use to run our business store and process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. That includes our website hosting, our customer messaging and scheduling system, and our e-signature provider. While your information is in another country it may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country under its laws. We choose providers that commit to protecting your information, and we only give them what they need to do the job.

Cookies and website analytics

We ask first. The first time you visit, a bar at the bottom of the page asks whether we may count your visit. Until you say yes, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent. If you say no, that is the end of it and you will not be asked again on that device.

If you agree, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful, so we know what to improve. It sets a cookie and records things like the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, and the site you arrived from. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored.

Measurement only. Google's advertising signals and ad personalization are switched off, so this is never used to build an advertising profile of you or to target ads at you anywhere. We use no advertising pixels of any kind.

Changed your mind? Clear this site's data in your browser and the question will come back. You can also install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Nothing on this site stops working either way.

Our financing application page and personal plan links carry no analytics at all. The survey and contact forms are hosted by us and only carry what you type into them.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal and accounting requirements, and we protect it with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards.
