All our meat comes from Ontario farms. It travels a long way north to reach you, but it starts on a farm in this province, and it stays frozen the whole way.
Everything we deliver leaves our warehouse in Peterborough. That’s a long way from Lake Nipissing, and it’s the reason the northern route isn’t a daily service. Instead the truck is loaded for the whole region and makes one run, and every family on that run gets their delivery on the same trip.
We don’t deliver on weekends anywhere in Ontario, north included, and we’ll not name you a day at the table. Two things decide the date and neither of them is on a calendar: where the route actually is that week, and whether every item on your order is in and packed. Promising a Tuesday and then arriving on a Friday is worse than not promising. So you tell your Food Planner the timing that suits your household, the office sets the date against the route and the stock, and we text you to confirm before the truck rolls. Nobody up here should be sitting around wondering whether today is the day.
Because it’s one run, the route is planned as a loop rather than a straight line into the city. Families south along the highway, families out east, families west along the lake and families north of town all come off the same load. Being at the far end of the loop doesn’t make you an afterthought. It makes you a stop on a route we already drive.

Two things change once you get past the Muskoka turnoff, and both of them are worth knowing before you order.
In a city with daily coverage a missed delivery is rescheduled for tomorrow. On a route like this one the truck isn’t back the following morning. So we confirm ahead, we call from the road if traffic or weather is running against us, and the driver carries the order inside and puts it where you want it. In February that difference isn’t a nicety, it’s the whole job.
Northern households tend to already keep a freezer, and a lot of them already have something in it. Before your order is finalized your Food Planner asks what you’re working with, and the plan is built to fit the space you actually have.

No. Delivery is worked into your order when your Food Planner builds it, and it doesn’t go up because of where you live. A family in North Bay and a family in Peterborough are treated exactly the same way.
Say so before the order is finalized. We can build the order to the freezer you already own, split it across two deliveries so the second part lands when you’ve room, or supply a chest or upright freezer at our cost.
Yes, and a good number of northern families do. You take part of the order on the next run and the rest on a later one, both off the same order at the same locked pricing.
Yes. Someone needs to be there to check the order against the delivery slip and sign for it. Our own driver carries it in and puts it where you want it, so nothing is left sitting on a porch or in a snowbank.
You’ve 14 days under our Perfect-Fit Promise to tell us an item isn’t what you wanted and we replace it. Everything we deliver also carries a 12-month quality guarantee. Call, text or email and we sort it out.
